Hey mitch,

Tried the links, but it takes you to a Gumtree sign in / register page.

You might have to search for the ads on Gumtree - then post those links here, rather than the ones Gumtree emailed directly to you so that you can manage your ad.

The Springer could be a bit of a collectable, Doug Rogers didn't shape many boards for them. Ring Bruce little at Anglesea surf center, he may want it or know some one.

Hey thanks for the tip, got some great advice and if i find the time to drive the 4ish hours to get there ill get them to sell it for me!

i think i'll be asking $250 ONO for the springer and $300 ONO for the Mccoy.

You guys know a good place online to list?

Reckon you might struggle getting $300 for the McCoy. He's got a great name, no doubt, but that board isn't from one of his classic eras and nor is it a 'classic' McCoy shape. More a standard step up gun that's been around the yard. By all means list it at $300 but be prepared to take less.

And use eBay. There's a real busy board buying community there, they'll take a look at any McCoy.

Dunno where you live mitch but coming into summer I usually put a few old boards on consignment in the local surf shop as a passing tourist will often snap one up if the waves are on. You could try that somewhere?

Have you seen that show on 7mate, Pawn Stars about the hock shops in America?
I have this vision of you on that show approaching the counter and asking that question "how much you give me for my surfboards?"
The guy looks them up and down and says "$20 bucks each"
You have a hissy fit, and claim there worth at least $300 each.
Then they call security and drag you out of the store while you hurl abuse and then proceed to smash both boards in the carpark while all the other customers stare at you:)

As much as someone is willing to pay for it.
