I'm enjoying vaping, been 9 weeks since a ciggy.
Had an offshore medical yesterday in Perth, exceptional fitness for my age, Borgs scale was tops, lungs in awesome shape, no diabetes, kidney great, liver great, everything else in tip top order;)
I know there is not enough proof at the moment, due to research but IMO it is way healthier than smoking ciggarettes;)
Welly, how many cigs a day were you smoking and how many vapes a day now ?
Nothing beats a White Ox bong at 6 in the morning though does it Welly ?

25 ciggs is probably 250 puffs of a ciggy. average 10 puffs a ciggy...?
On the E Cig 18mg, yummy flavours, blueberry, mango, triple menthol etc.
X3 puffs on the vapour, by x3 = 9 puffs, probably 15 times a day...?
One puff on the ECig is 1/10th of the Nicotine compared to a puff on a cigg, without all the other nasties x60 of them....?
I'm not gonna debate this subject at all as I feel better and I honestly know it is better than smoking those carcinogenic ciggy's all day long with out a doubt.
Its all in the draw, the puff and the blow, if you know what I mean eh Blowin;)

Been five days now no smokes, well a couple of cigars but thats it, cold turkey pretty much. but im still thinking of getting one of these.

Nicotine is the most devious of addictive drugs. I haven't had a ciggie in 10 years and then I only smoked when I was in Indo, but I still dream of lighting up a Gudang !
Nicotine IMO is great by itself but wrapped up in all those other chemicals is not good.
I hope I can say in 10 years time BB, I havnt had a ciggy;)

Any of these replacements are free to Aboriginal or Torres Strait islanders but not average joe aussie

Gday, udo... Ahhh, good old nicotine... Firstly, I think aboriginal life expectancy is way below ours... Waaay below... Yeah, ok it's unfair to me... But I'm willing to take that on the chin... I think the aboriginal people of this land have copped a pretty hard deal since the late 1700s..... A few free patches aint gonna break the bank.... I'd rather my taxes go to that than one of Abbotts mining mates...
But this is what I don't get about smokes, Udo... The latte set sit at outdoor cafes in Lygon st, or in Manly, or Hindley st, they cop a tiny whiff of tobacco, and proceed to go off their nut.... Yet the stench of carbon monoxide and other petroleum based fumes from 1000s of cars and trucks idling by doesn't seem to phase them.... If inhaling carcinogenic fumes was really their issue, they wouldn't sit beside a busy road inhaling toxic gas.... They'd go INSIDE the cafe'..... Ya' gotta laugh.... I think the ones that lose their shit the worse are the reformed smokers... They cop a tiny whiff and their receptors arc up... Once an addict, always an addict... Petrol fumes don't have the same effect....
Secondly, tobacco is legal, yet soon you won't be able to smoke anywhere... Heroin is illegal, yet there are public injecting rooms..... hahahaha.... Fuckn work that out.....
Thirdly, smoking doesn't cost society as much as the nanny state do gooders say....
Fourthly, smoking is bad for you, and it will eventually kill you, and it burns a hole in your pocket. But too much sugar will kill you, as will too much sunshine, not enough sunshine, too much fat, too much alcohol, risk taking, sitting etc etc etc....
Yeah I wish that I could give the shit up.... But if I don't and I die 15 years before my time, well fuck.... There you go..... I'd actually like to cut it back to 5 durries a day.... No worse than an open fireplace....
Amazing how many surfers are non smokers, but as soon as they arrive in Indo the first thing they do is buy a packet of Gudangs get on the piss smoke a pack of twenty that night ........the next day surf, more Gudangs,piss.......smoke like a full time smoker for a 10 day boat trip or 2 weeks on land......get on the plane to fly home and don't smoke until the next o.s. trip ? got me fucked that one .

Funny you know, welly.... Gave the smokes up for a few years back around 2002ish, plus gave the grog away, pot.... Started taking my surfing seriously, which you do when you are in your early 30s. Wanted to milk my "youth" as much as possible... Anyways, surfed fuckn heaps.... Soooo fit.... Not an once of fat.... Could paddle from Mudjimba to old woman in 20 minutes, surf for 3 hours, paddle back, then go for a late arvo surf at Coolum......
Then the skin cancers fired up after a few years..... One followd by another, and another, and another.... Then a dirty big melanoma on my back.....
So I lit up a durry, and spent 2 years in a dark room hahahaha..... My skin cancer specialist said, that smoking will kill ya'.... I said yeah, as a fluro Scottish/german white hybrid, so will 4 decades in the qld sun.....

What about the elephant in the room ; mull smokers? never gets any public health warnings or info available on health effects because of the illegality , google info all one sided, heaps claims nobody ever died from weed, legal now in the USA (but prob more for the revenue factor than being ok for you). Is it the tar or the nicotine (not to mention the chemicals) in ciggies that are the problem? Heaps tar in mull, way less chemicals and burning agents than durries (unless hydro or unknown growers) . Smokes well in the vaporiser but better taste in more smoky appliances. Dr Karl said your open fireplace or bbq as bad as smoking .
