Point Leo surfers.

Dear fellow surfers. The Point Leo Foreshore Committee of Management would like to take this opportunity to give the surfing community a heads up that parking fees for the coming peak season begin next weekend the 28th of September. Parking fees are payable every weekend and all through the summer school holiday period. The cost this year is $4 daily or a seasons pass is available for $40. We would also like to take this opportunity to explain the reason for these parking fees. Everything in the park, toilets, cleaning, rubbish, parkland, mowing, roads, stairs, beach cleaning, revegetation and habitat protection, water, power, sewage, absolutely everything is paid for by the money we collect from parking and campsite fees. Unlike other local reserves from gunnamatta to Portsea we are not a parks Victoria Park and as such receive no funding. In fact we receive not a single cent from local, state or federal government.
