The surfclub would also have a website and guaranteed Facebook page. Would be worth giving them a call and they can post up 'lost watch' on their Facebook page.
I lost a new ss tide watch when they first came out due to band failure, should have followed up through ripcurl at the time but was young and thought it was just bad luck.
I'm sure there is some grommet out there who would be stoked to get his watch back.
