strange weather patterns

well it's definitely been a weird summer so far.. 40 degrees and hot to 17 degrees the next day to tropical thunderstorms and humidity. And the surf patterns not the usual either.. alot of sw wind days and northerlies slightly reminiscent of autumn or winter. Just seems alot different to usual .. any thoughts anyone?

Yeah, you've been getting all that moist air from north-western Australia being drawn down. Instead of the hot dry northerlies it's humid and muggy.
