--- The Santa Catarina athlete Ricardo dos Santos was shot in the Embaú Guard in Palhoça (SC) on the morning of Monday, after an argument. 

Ricardinho took three shots. Two reached the chest area and another shot hit the back. The Santa Catarina would have been promptly attended by the Fire Department and airlifted to the regional hospital St. Joseph in Florianópolis (SC). His condition is serious and he is undergoing a surgery at this time. Many surfers are in the hospital for information, including the Top Adriano de Souza. 

According to unofficial information, three people were arrested. One would be an officer of Joinville identified as Motta.

According to one source the shooter was a cop off duty and he has passed away.
