What time of the year are you going?

Plantation Resort seems like the spot for you. Cheap. Muscat Cove if you have more cash. All out at Maholo Island.

Going to Malolo Island Resort in Sept 15 with family (me surfer). Having previously been to Tavarua minus family I'll give you a report post trip

Nah, Plantation is, as Mick Free said, on Malolo Island and is the closest resort to the waves aside from Namotu and Tavarua. However if you haven't booked yet you may struggle getting a room. We booked over four months ago - admittedly for the peak season - and it was only through the efforts of staff that we got a bure. We initially booked online through a booking portal but got royally shafted

You're going shoulder season so it may be easier to get in, however deal with them direct if you can. The lady who helped us is Prashika and here's her email: res7@plantationisland.com

I'm going to be over there for a week from next Wednesday, which, from what I can gather, will be the flattest week in Fiji this year. Might even end up getting my hair braided

Is there any reliable wind obs for CB, online? Seems Nadi METAR is susceptible to land breezes and eddies...

CB or Tavarua or wherever... Cheers

No, there are not. Scatterometry only.
