Gland prices. What is a fair go?

Henno started the topic in Monday, 1 Feb 2016 at 05:15 pm

After a lot of negotiating with Joyos as they were the only ones I got an early bird special for a fan room of $600 for 6 nights. This is the month of April so pretty eqrly in the season.

Send me a paypal invoice to pay and its $600 USD. That equates to about $847 Aus at the moment. Is this a fair deal?

What have most paid for a standard room for a week at Gland?

Funny you should mention Slim. We are staying with him for the first few nights. Will definitely chat to him about this.

Yes the Internet bookings rate as number one $ $$ for the camps . The riff raff dragged off the streets who haggle at the last minute seat position get the cheapest . & I mean wayyyyy cheeper

Henno Monday, 1 Feb 2016 at 06:06 pm

$20 per night sounds like 90s prices though. Is that with meals and boat transfers?

caml Monday, 1 Feb 2016 at 06:21 pm

evosurfer Monday, 1 Feb 2016 at 10:10 pm

Caml on it take his advice worked for me. Also slim will help as well.

Henno Monday, 1 Feb 2016 at 10:14 pm

Cheers guys. I will suss it with Slim. This is a side trip that isnt set in stone. If it is too exxy it may lead to divorce. Or at least put the mockers on any trip next year.

If possible await until the winds go perfect in April before striking the actual deal . Good luck

Caml, im serious .....theres a book or movie in that...4 years there is unbelievable every time you get a flashback jot it down with as much detail you can recall...you never know who may approach you one day ?

groundswell Tuesday, 9 Feb 2016 at 09:38 pm

I agree its not egocentric. movies made about rappers like NWA are making millions but this is a real story of raw life..Could be a moive deal if some future thinking screenwriter with a brain gets his hands on it.
No more looking for specials at coles, this could be your big break..I just hope someone in the industry with a brain comes up with the idea.
Much more interesting topic than laird surfing on a hoverboard.

Yeah but who would " play " the role of Cam . You'd have to do it yourself .... I wonder if onsite shooting would be in the budget ? Can / would you go back Caml , obviously if you got your passport sorted again . Maybe you could just use your avatar pic ..... Indo's love smokers !

I made a bunch of inquiries with Joyos online - and the rate kept moving around and then they got tired of the questions and emailed a pay pal invoice for more than the last quote
So contacted Bobbys and there was no mucking around so I booked (same rate as you mentioned
That rate probably includes the fast boat transfers and all meals right?

Bobbys will do early season rates as well --- if you ask

caml Wednesday, 10 Feb 2016 at 07:01 pm

try to say that about online booking ?

caml Wednesday, 10 Feb 2016 at 10:10 pm

Easy to visit the office in bali or street vendors where cheaper deals made than the online
