Listening to three 'd' last thursday and Nasty rang thru his last surf report on the 'pete and tonz' show.i don't profess to know the whole story ,but some health issues we're spoken about.i would just like to say that those friday morning surf reports going back 25 years were a joy.made me do the lunchtime knock off many a time due to a good mid coast report.those reports and that voice will be sorely missed.thanks for a great job,Nasty.

Hopefully we hear from him again soon, even if its just laughing to himself as he does

He’s a classic fella. Used to listen to him on 3D in the mid 90’s.

An old school surf reporter ,
He gets the newspaper and uses the weather maps to forecast and fine tune his predictions . I havent heard his radio reports but have mulled over the synoptic maps with him. He was surfing up until a month or two ago

Does anyone in Vicco remember the surf report in the mid nineties or so where the guy making the report did it after he had a surf, late but accurate. Was basically the conversation you had on the beach with the guy who was heading back to the car park. :-)) Was on the RMIT station 3RRR?

Nasty's a legend.

Spent over a week hanging with him on the West Coast a few years back. Has had a rough go at it through his life, but still kicks on and is a generous kind soul.

Sad news today, Nasty lost his battle with cancer, but is now at peace. Rest in peace Nigel.
