Planning a 6 week trip to Europe with the missus, managed to convince her to spend the 1st 4 weeks surfing in France Portugal & Spain. The trade-off is the last 2 will be in the UK. I dont really want to lug the boards around England, does anyone know what the deal is shipping the back to Aus?. Thanks in advance.

Yikes. Never thought of OS shipping, and I'd be reluctant to consider the big carriers too (due to cost).

£5 a day at Manchester Airport. We used it and the service was great ...... but yeh, it will add up!

yeah the big carriers i checked were like $1k for a triple board bag, i was thinking around $200..fark might have to lug them to the uk..it wont be a popular move.

You never know you might get the triple bag as a single piece.

Should be cheaper to store at the airport than send back? If you're not flying out of the same airport, there's a company that transfers luggage between airports in Europe. Not sure how much it costs though.

Thanks mate this might be my best option any idea what the companies called?, ill need to get them shipped from Madrid to Heathrow. assuming the UK is part of Europe?

Can't remember sorry, and I never actually used them, only saw the drop off locations around. If you're flying between Madrid and Heathrow I would assume its still going to be cheaper for you to pay for your boards on the flight and then put in storage at the airport.
A few years ago I was flying into Taiwan to meet up with my misses, after a stint in Indo, and had my boards, wasn't planning on using them so was going to put them in storage when I arrived. Turns out my boards didn't arrive so the airport said they would recover and store them for me until I flew out. Cost me $16 and didn't even have to check them in on my departure. So you could get lucky.

No problems ill hunt around, im not actually flying from Madrid to Heathrow..Heathrow is my end destination (before flyingback to Aus) after going to non-surfing Eurpoe locations.
