Whitewash conditions at Manly

Hey guys,

Surfer newb here, but just bought myself a beginner board and looking to learn.

I live a fair distance from Manly beach, so want to make sure conditions are alright before I make the drive.

Any idea how the conditions have to be for good whitewash? Swell, wind direction, surf etc.?

There's often good beginner conditions at the southern end of Manly - except this week as NE swell will be building in size over the coming days.

I'd recommend the northern end of Freshwater instead (also known as kiddies corner).
