Maldives Central Atolls (LAAMU, THAA & MEEMU)

Hi, i've already been twice in the Maldives Northern Atolls during the month of August.
I would like to explore the Central Atolls during the next surf trip (August coming).
-Anyone have comparable experience between Northern and Central Atolls?
-How is the surfing there during the classic summer SE swell? Generally bigger or smaller than the North?
-Is there any local island similar to Thulusdhoo in the Central Atoll with the possibility to take fast boats to explore? Or the surf spots are way too far each other?
