Someone needs to start making surf hats which don’t have a brim.
Just a streamlined, clubby-style cap which stops the head from cooking whilst allowing unimpeded duck diving and doesn’t try to rip off all session.
Get rid of those earflaps too. Sounds like I’m surfing in a flooded down pipe.
Yep and Peak wetsuits are still going, they could easily screw you over.

After getting skin cancer cut out I cover up more now and also get frustrated wearing a hat particularly if its a bit more intense dodging bomb sets and the like love winter when I get the hood out.
Did have a peak cap with back flap for the neck, chopped the peak right back that went pretty well until it got sucked off my head at Icelands.
Really need a "Phantom come ninja come buka type headgear" using lycra (to complete the total w@nker look) that somehow would look cool.........in an old fella way.
Also to add must be able to wear my "Seaspecs" as well (after cataract surgery) just knock something up Blowin and I'll be happy to test it............cheers
Someone should invent a hooded rashie for sun protection. Hopefully this comes through but i use this under my jacket for snowboarding and it gives me the perfect amount of warmth. I dont see why something similar couldn't be made of lycra and used as sun/wind protection.

They already exist . They’re quite popular in Bali . I just assumed that the neck would flare like a Frilled lizard during a duck dive. Can’t stand Lycra rashies myself.

Ha ha...yeah that's true too.
Yeah hooded rashes are a thing, i have a long sleeve on for Indo, but rarely use it, just feels annoying and covers tour ears, even when i wear it i normally put the hood down, and only put it up if im waiting for waves and feel like im getting fried.
