Notice that on the video made by the urbnsurf guy in Melbourne, he talks about the modular technology and pistons pushing water to form waves without turbulence behind it.
It is clear that this tech is a superior form of producing quality waves (for a few reasons) compared to the old wavegarden tech which is almost exactly the same as Kelly's pool.
