The last run of huge swell removed a lot of sand from the local beach exposing a lot more than the usual rock, both on shore and out in the surf. The sand banks are gone and a typical surf a present is a choice of left or right hand close outs. Yes it will recover. . . . but when?
After reading another SN article I tried praying, but that didn’t work :( I’m assuming that’s not a reflection on me, but just because it’s easier to organise a few good sets for a heat rather than every day. Anyway, it got me wondering whether big waves or small are better for the recovery of sand banks, or is more to do with the currents?
