“Observed” morning surf report

Anyone else frustrated by Swellnet’s “observed” pre-8am surf reports? Are these written the night before then posted at first light, or generated by an algorithm? Some of them are so far off the mark, evidenced by the subsequent report after 8am, that they’re as good as useless.
