There's been a major film set at Cabarita for the last three or four days.. turns out it was Ron Howard and Jude Law doing a new feature film called 'Eden'. Couldn't get a carpark yesterday!
The Tweed Coast seems to be quite the preferred filming location - a few years back, Hastings Point was the filming scene for Pirates of the Caribbean, and Aquaman. Caba's more recently been used for the Netflix series Surviving Summer (Seasons 1 and 2) and back in 2006 for The Condemned.
