Is this run of lack of surf around Newcastle to Wollongong going to improve the sand banks?

Not around my way it won't. We need swell to keep the rips running and already the local is tending towards straight.

I just did a trip from cenny coast to north straddie and back and banks were shit everywhere. Barely surfed in a month despite being at the beach almost every day. Maybe 3 half decent sessions. Whole east coast is cooked.

I checked out an old reliable favourite the other day and it's still fucked at high tide. Going to check it out on low tide when I can but all the beaches around me are stuffed since that last mega South swell. MNC, all beaches ranging from nearly straight south exposure to North exposure.

As above, I think I've had one or two good sessions since, both at a breakwall, no good sessions on several different beaches.

Taking comfort in the fact that it's not just me. The banks here, especially the high tide banks, have been dismal. Dumping right onto the sand with no shape whatsoever. Surprisingly some other areas which you wouldn't usually give the time of day were okay, at least for a little while. I'll put in the order for an unseasonal ECL thanks.
