Sydney to Hobart 2013

Zoom in on the front runners to see how close they are!
Is that big cold front off southern tas going to get medievil on their ass as they come down the coast?
The front runners will arrive before that hits, but those lagging behind are going to have a rough time!!
How much fun would it be to be on a one of the yachts?
Swellnet should enter the race next year. I'm pretty sure Stu would have a yacht in his shed we could use.
I reckon it'd be great, especially in one of the Super Maxi's down to Hobart in two days, quick as!
I couldn't do it, it would make me go crazy, id have to stop and check out all the little nooks and crannies that are hard to access by land, especially areas like flinders island, id most likely pull into Hobart around easter.
Not wrong there ID!! Have to stay far enough offshore not to see land and be tempted.
Give me a large S/SE swell and we'll be lost in those nooks and crannies on Tassie's East Coast forever!
Now you're talking! I still wake up from time to time at night, thinking about that coastline.
I know where a 3-400 metre left is.
Some cool photos like this here: https://rolexsydneyhobart.com/news/2013/day-4/photo-gallery-29-december-…
Imagine heading round the Tasman Peninsula to be greeted by this, amazing!

Yeah that coastline is something else. I had no idea they came that close to the bluff.
Last year, we needed binoculars to see them run past eaglehawk neck. Not sure how many nautical miles out they were, but it was a bit. Right there they only look a few hundred metres off.
Really close this year between Wild Oats and Pepetual Loyal.
They're basically on top of each other and would be within sight after travelling half the distance, some 650km.
