Signing or marking a board???

Hi Guys any thoughts on signing or marking a completed board IE to late to have shaper
to pencil onto foam Hopeing to get overseas shaper to put his name on my long board when he is down under

i'm thinking that lightly sanding the board where you want it signed would work best. rough it up so a pencil will write on there. get the shaper (merrick? Brewer? takayama?) to sign it and then lightly resin over the top.

marker pen wont work cos the resin will react with it.
