coolest surfer ever! LB in tubular swells

My cousin who has just rediscovered the pleasure of surfing at age 43 produced a copy of "tubular swells" the dick hoole jack mccoy 1976 classic and regretably i had to admit to seeing it already...in 1976... at the old hunter theatre at the junction in newcastle , the scene of many a classic sunday arvo surf flick..while viewing(and re-living some )images in the movie i noticed Larry Bertleman winning the award for surfing in what could be deemed at the time as the penultimate of cool" a flared wetsuit" have a look!up there with buttons eating sand before surfing (in many classic moments?) any other nominations?

I can't remember the movie but Rabbit on the swing at Burleigh. Remember those swings with a single long plank suspended from metal bars at each end? Rabbit stands on it, gets it swinging and then does classic cross over steps to hang five.
