Cold Water Classic Thurso (Scotland) - live webcast

Yesterday's action from Brims Ness yesterday was unreal, and we've got some challenging conditions ahead for the Cold Water Classic - small and clean today (prob again at Brims Ness), getting bigger but windier from Thursday onwards - however Fri/Sat/Sun look good enough for the famed reef at Thurso East. The Swellnet webcast team is broadcasting the event live via satellite - starts around 6-7pm tonight (Sydney time).. tune in here.

The action started at Thurso a few minutes ago - looks bloody cold! Live webcast is here: https://www.oneill.com/cwc/scotland/live/

If you haven't tuned in to this yet, do yourself a favour. It's snowing on the beach there this morning! Just radical scenes...

Air temp is just above zero. Glen Hall is in the water right now.

Apparently conditions were so gnarly yesterday that the wind blew over two very expensive film cameras that were mounted on heavy duty tripods (for those interested, a Sony EX3 and a Panasonic P2). The cameras smashed on to the rocks and landed in a rock pool.. heavy stuff!

Spectacular scenes there this morning though.. surely the first ever professional surfing contest held in the snow?

Hope it cleans up for them a bit. Thurso and Brims Nest are great waves on their day but so hard to catch them clean

Semi's on now and it's looking pretty fun!

Clean and sunny with inconsistent 3-4ft sets.

Looks like it will finish up in the next hour or two!
