but I do know the first enrichment phase is the slow bit, and that the 60% to 90% bit apparently only takes weeks

I think the reaction of the international community is very telling. ie. just weeks ago a heap of countries, including australia, were unrestrained in their criticism of israel regarding gaza - and rightly so...
this week those very same countries pretty much all fell into line in stating 'Iran must not acquire a nuclear weapons'
now maybe they are all just gimping for trump... but I don't think they are... they have all pretty much maintained this position for ages...
it's just an accepted position, and has been forever really
now most of them clearly have reservations about trump's action, with albo essentially going in to hiding for 36 hours before coming out and actually supporting the action - people are terrified of the possible outcomes - we have all been here before...

My only point of difference is exactly that, that we see the world from our perspective, the media we're given, the politics we're aligned with, the religion the country is set under, and anything different, is the other. I know you don't think that personally, but i know i'm generalising but that is the groupthink...the way the masses tend to think. It's safer to align and not think outside that box. And i'm in it too to some degree. Should Iran start planting terrorist cells in oz as retaliatory attacks, i'll be the first to jump up and down kicking and screaming of the sheer lunacy.
