wave of the day
WOTD Sun 24th Jan: Looks like the blue moon has come around once again, what a fickle wave, lived in eyesight of this wave for a few years surfed it whenever it looked like breaking so much potential but so fickle and so shifty even when it was half decent the best one either landed on your head, broke deep or broke wide.
Farken hell anyone want to put the gps coords out there too? While not outing a secret spot, how's all this gonna do anything but boost crowds (bringing em in from brisso) where previously it's generally not thought of outside the local area?
No need for that it's named and hashtagged all over social media.
I'm more surprised at the timing, the first vid went up at midday yesterday. Almost real time.
Crazy, doesn't get any better or bigger than that..the reality is though one you couldn't sit that deep for very long if at all to get those freaky ones so much current, two it super shifty you always seem to be in the wrong spot and even if your sitting deep enough your rarely in the right spot, three they look makable but the reality is only the very odd one is unless your down the end section or get in wide where the crowd is…..wave with so much potential but also a frustrating wave kind of wave you can either go a whole surf without getting a proper one or if your very lucky get one or a couple very good ones, but most of the times i surfed it the good ones would go unridden as no one is in the right spot.
That said there is some footage online of Joel Parkinson getting some good ones most likely the last time it broke as good.
