Looks nice and idyllic , but bet it's a deceptive pic that looks like you can surf it all the way through, but possibly only really take off from where the guy is and then what does it do going towards those rocks?
Nah, ID, it's a reasonably long wave, and very good quality.
The old jetty/groyne looks like it'll trip you up, but it's quite far down the line.
That whole area is littered with good waves.

Not particularly a secret spot. Total class but very rare to get it without a significant crowd. Do a bit of hunting and you'll find it.

Was in Margaret River a few weeks back and some bombs like that were being ridden.
PJ has a great frame there pushed it to the edge but didn't over cook the art, cracking shot.

That’s probably the reason I was so uninspired by the Chlorinated Bristol ripple generator .....I’d watched it after staring at that WOTD shot for a few minutes.

Yup, it is nearly always rubbish. Go west (or to Tulla), I hear Winki is the place to be.
West side never tubes tho. You'll never experience the ultimate if you go the west side.
Guessing it's just like Woolis (Cape Woolamai) when solid on outside bank, can get the odd good photo that makes it look good, but in reality you can't surf it unless have a ski, as too shifty and mostly closeouts plus too much water moving around could never stay in right area even if any kind of outside bank peeling.
The wave of the day does it for me big time. Nice work Steen Barnes , Shaun Anderson and Swellnet.
In one photo you've encompassed everything nice about surfing. If I was a wanker I'd say that it was perfect except for the fact he is in a wetsuit. Which it is , it's perfect .....except for the fact he's in a wetsuit.
