Most comedians don't really seem to fit into any real left or right but comedians these days have to be so careful of what they say because of political correctness, even today if they were trying to make a true left wing crowd laugh they would have to be so careful not to push things too much or offend.
A large chunk of comedy from the past would cause an uproar from the left if repeated today.

The world is full of real life right wingers that inadvertently specialise in black comedy, Trump, Johnson, Slowmo, Hansen and the Barnyard. Pretty much every time they open their traps they say something stupidly funny in a dark sort of way.

There seems to be a bit of confusion as to what “left “ means these days. I’d say that Left encompasses anyone with compassion for their fellow humans , a sustainable system of plebeians and investor classes and believes in a fair, equal and just society for everyone.
This covers most comedians from Bill Burr to Dave Chapelle and Joe Rogan. I can’t think of one truly right wing comedian to be honest. Who’s the comedian making jokes about screwing down wages these days ....anyone ?
But I think you guys mean a left comic as in someone restricted to the Anti Trump brigade or the political satirists with their woke humour. Which is both boringly repetitious and repressed. This is confusing as many , if not most , Trump supporters are likely blue collar , wage earning and left leaning.
But then you guys probably think that a millionaire athlete who pays an accountant big dollars to help them avoid their tax obligations and who earns 400 times as much as the piece work serfs who stitch together the clothes she’s flogging is left because she is loudly sanctimonious about her ordinary beliefs.in human equality.

I do agree it's hard to even label what is left or right wing though especially when it comes to people the extremes are easy, but when you take in politics, economics and social aspects it's much harder.
For instance Joe Rogan might consider himself left leaning (he endorsed Sanders but also Trump at other times), but so much of his views on social issues are right leaning views.
Same could be said for you, you might identify as left wing because of aspects of believes in economics etc but much of your social views are more right wing i mean you even voted One nation the other year and you are very nationalistic. (not a bad thing)
I do agree true right wing comedians are rare just as true left wing comedians are rare, most are not really right or left and take the piss out off both, unless they specialise in one side but IMHO most comedy leans more right than left because even these days with political correctness most comedy still pushes boundaries or pushes things to the limit, part of good comedy is offending people.

Ok Indo, I'll concede some ground - it's easy enough to define what is and is not left and right wing in isolation, but as you've said, when it comes to people they might have left wing social and right wing economic views.
Their micro views would be easy to define but defining them overall as a person would be more complex, as it should be.
