I think in both cases BLM & Capitol it's plausible that there could be ‘agents provocateurs’ on both sides, but also agree that in both cases these situations would have most likely still happened.
Yeah for sure shooting that women i expect stopped others, but it was a crazy over the top response, why not just tasser her instead or tear gas the crowd or if they weren't prepared with tassers or tear gas, why not even just shoot her in the arm or leg? or some warning shots first? it's not like she is armed pointing a gun at him which is completely different scenario.

I've been keeping out of this as I have my own thoughts but I was disgusted at the hatchet job news.com.au tried to do on that lady soon after her death. Bringing up her so called 'criminal' past which amounted to basically nothing and no charge ever stuck and she was never prosecuted over anything. I'd provide a link but it looks like they've pulled the article. Regardless of her political leaning she was an unarmed woman shot at point blank range. The body wasn't even cold and the media were trying to portray her as some kind of terrorist when truth be told, she was no more than a Trump zealot full of hot air, no different to the people she opposed. She didn't deserve to lose her life that way, especially for Trump but to see how her death was diminished and her character assassinated as some sort of moral justification plumbed a new low in journalism for me.
The gutless journalist didn't even have the courage to put their name to it.

None of this is really consistent with a Republic founded on free speech. Many other conservative views are being deleted, too. It's more like a witch hunt done by a theocracy. Obviously the solution is to have separate platforms for free speech. If legislation allows them to exist, that is, and if not, what kind of nation does that infer? I can't but help think that they are something beyond the Republic, much as Rome was after Caesar crossed that river. We are wise to remember Rome was strong for a long time after it became an Empire, too.
For mine, I liked Trump. He pointed out the imbalanced trade environment that eviscerated local manufacturing and destroyed millions of well-paid jobs, creating great hurt within America. He was very against the drug importation of things like Fentanyl. He tried to reboot the US as a nation, but faced a lot of resistance. There were no new big wars launched, and he tried to draw down troops on foreign station - unsuccessfully, as some in those in the departments resisted him. There were some things he didn't do well - the increase in the national debt weakened America further, and it was a massive increase. He put allies offside, and it will be crucial for Joe to rebuild these links. Did the wall get built? Did manufacturing come back in large-scale, for I think some certainly did? As a strong-borders candidate, he failed to put up unambiguous strong borders when they needed it most, during a pandemic. Many lives have been lost as a result. What I see now is America beyond-Republic facing off against communist China and us somewhere down below on the map.
The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy over there I think.

There’s footage of protestors carrying rifles in the Capitol. That would have been over the radio. How would he know the intent of the crew that have just smashed a window and are climbing over a barricade?
The military etarip. 'Please Disperse Peacefully' or something to that effect was aired by Trump... As I understand it, this is one of the protocols to trigger. There are a series of protocols, which need to happen but ultimately there has to be a legitimate threat, which then facilitate the Military to take control of their civil system. Security were wrong footed. Some would have assumed that it was easier to let them in, until they realised the extent of the damage and infiltration. Some would have assumed that it had been authorised at some level. And some would have made an assessment based on their own feelings of preservation. Others would have let their political sympathies guide their actions.
