Quite interesting this mushroom poising trial.

Seems she has now admitted they were foraged mushrooms.

Putting aside if she is guilty or not, i always thought it was a silly claim and bullshit that mushrooms were from two sources Woolworth's and Asian grocery, it made no sense and and as if anyone is going to believe those mushrooms turned out to have poisonous ones, if they were its likely we would have had other reported cases.

Guilty or not guilty she should have always admitted they were foraged and just claimed they were from various locations or if innocent give the exact location.

Can’t even book an parks site on the coast most of the time any more.

National Parks "Service" have been a sad joke for a long time, understaffed and ruthlessly chasing the dollar.
Economic rationalism.
And the lack of flexibility with their booking system is just the final kick in the nuts.
Sad to say, you're much better off getting a backpack, going for a walk and camping for free on the quiet, or just getting the right vehicle and gear and going out into the State Forests.
Still not much help when it's the school holidays and you want to camp by the beach with the family.
Edit: There's also the option of taping up your number plate, cutting the padlock and exploring the huge amounts of National Park under lock and key.

yeh, that's a bullshit way of culling people. Unless it's a pure cash grab. But fuck some families not being able to AFFORD to go camping in their own national parks..

There was a mob in a seaside town around here, who were sick of yobbos ripping the sand dunes apart, proposing a similar thing, jack the prices to keep away the riff raff. I rarely go to town meetings but popped in to insist that in my local travels I have witnessed it being more often the entitled arseholes with a thick roll that fuck things up, not people with less cash (who are generally more grateful and appreciative of the experience from what I've seen).
