I heart WOTD

Yeah I thought so Saltman,
Nice looking tail on her.
The middle fin looks quite big, bigger than the rest why....?
Been very interested in the bonzers, from some of FR76's posts and some chaps from USA (https://bonzer5.com/boards/)
a mate of mine put me on too...?
Maybe move this to the designo boardie stuff forum, very interested Saltman, always looking at different boards to ride:)
Done
Not WOTD but.....A midsummer Knights dream - Pure genius !
You've just eart yourself another Point session Stu.
is it true that there are rusty old ship's hulls there or is that part of the magic of storytelling
Blowin: Indulged myself in a guffaw.
Yocal: If you hear a good story you should never ask if it's true or not. A wise fella told me that once, and Newy locals might agree.
"A face only a mother could love".
Thirty thousand. That would be at least how many captioned surf photos I've seen. And not once have I seen this nugget of gold pulled out of the hat before. It's been begging the whole time when you think about it and to be so hot on the heels of the Midsummer Knights triumph...that's a master stroke.
Take a bow Mr Nettle.
Last x2 WOTD's 11-12.2.15
Todays ..dead give away with those cliffs..
Awesome beach break.
When surfing there by yourself thoughts always crossed your mind, similar to yesterdays WOTD's caption "Looking for Company''! Just to share the stoke:)
Pretty sure you would still get it like that today....!
Dead give away with the cliffs.. if you've sat in the lineup before! I've personally got no idea where it is. Looks super fun though.. a mellower version of Blacks.
My apologies, I should of said "Dead give away for myself"!
Not to many people know of this secluded jewel.
Sometimes company looking for always as Yoda would say;)
Welly, is it W B? On the Coromandel?
Looks similar and if so, had a smokin' sesh there once with some nice (but ripping) local blokes.

Geez yeah that place rocks too, good you scored there Zen.
Nah its deep pig Island ways;)
Tis a gem of a place, if more of the cliffs were shown it'd be easier to pick, but there's enough to keep people guessing. Would love to score it one day.
Today's shot has grown on me. At first I was focused on the pit, zooming in on my IPad . But it's a full story being told like all good photographs.
The colour of the sky, water and headland . The bounce of the lip on the surface of the water.
Great stuff.
I dig it. Burleigh without a trace of concrete to be seen, just the verdant headland, a grinding barrel, and a top marking local - someone who's only ever called Burleigh home - sitting deep within it.
Whats he riding ....looks like a mal ...but a Harris boy wouldn't ride a mal.
It's taken at Nantucket in the NE of the US. Last week they had wild storms (you may have seen them on the news?) that froze waterways along the eastern seaboard. When Jonathon took that shot the water was half frozen, able to transfer the energy of the swell but not the surface chop.
Today's photo makes me feel sick to my stomach.
Sorry people. You can count me out of that style of madness.
Caml - what are you thinking at times like that ?
Is it fun ? It certainly doesn't look like fun.
Doesn't look as hectic in the other pics but still powerful.
Blows me away the way this joint is still kept a bit low key in the media.
Some crew just can't help themselves though eh Mr Horvath.
Still it's very sad to see pics of it online every swell! It's a good wave but not "Epic". Just super photogenic at the take off.
When I surfed it from 2000 till 2009 we hardly saw any one from outside of the local areas and it was very rare to see a camera.

blowin I don't know where that is sorry , cant answer that one
maybe ,
but i think the SN team could perhaps lose one each forcibly, if they started naming there or similar .
The location of todays WOTD is an easy one (I think) but I'm fond of me nuts so not sayin anything!
Well it took about 4 minutes to find out the location. I hate the Internet.
middleton goin off!dont tell any1 n u can keep the lef nut!that tripod makes the foto spectacular......
You haven't done much driving in your state Alan-SA, if your name says where you live.
Loved the last two shots from Che' and Nico, while the left doesn't look perfect, it does look super fun, especially the outside section. And in that environment, beautiful!
Good one on giving away the location SN.
That's clearly Jurassic Park...
Now you know where it is just try and get past the Pterodactyls that guard it.
Alan you know its not in the western half . Tripods on beach arent permitted there .
On fri night i overheard some guys from adel saying that xx Would be good on weekend . And i reckon thats where it is . And ive never been near it ! Alan you need to hangout in carparks more
i think i know but ive never surfed there as i surf alone all the time, and it can be a bit hairy by yourself ive heard , if im thinking of the correct place
Yeah i havent seen it but the name of it sounds like its at the tip / of a lands end . Its nearly all shark infested in sa tho .
Welly, w.o.t.d. yesterday..............the lack of back- neck line, protruding jaw ...arm length.....
The Yowie stance
Sorry Kipp.
Its a beauty I reckon udo, something about kipp's lack of movement and casual laconic sorta posture in the face of all that force, one the most unique looking shots ive seen in a long time
Haha Udo,
Was thinking the same thing as well.
Wasn't bold enough to mention it, but now that you have it's all kosher.
Got a great one of Chinaman's for tomorrow though Barley. Wait till you see it!
Haha course ya do mate.you cant tell me the last couple are any good..gotta luv the towniez
The wave of the day does it for me big time. Nice work Steen Barnes , Shaun Anderson and Swellnet.
In one photo you've encompassed everything nice about surfing. If I was a wanker I'd say that it was perfect except for the fact he is in a wetsuit. Which it is , it's perfect .....except for the fact he's in a wetsuit.
