So the US has approved a Bitcoin FUTURES ETF. Main word to note is futures. This is the first step and a true Bitcoin ETF will be the next approval.

Canada, Brazil, Dubai have ETFs and just the other day an European ETF has been approved on one of the biggest pan-European Equities exchanges.

The US will approve a full Bitcoin ETF in the near future.

95% of those who comment here about crypto know nothing and have yet to grasp what is happening. If you don't understand it you call it a scam.
Cryoto and blockchain will impact everyone and be everywhere in the future.

Roadkill Thursday, 21 Oct 2021 at 06:49 am new

Boom..just like that ATH. Next stop…a true BTC ETF…and then trillions and trillions will flow into crypto. Zero chance of stopping it now.

Got over $90k earlier.

Should move sideways for a couple of weeks and even drop back a little….then move up to next level. US$100k…next target.

And if Elon drops a fresh Tweet could pass 100k easily

It will be interesting not necessarily when there’s ETFs that can hold Bitcoin itself directly, but rather when there’s ETFs than can hold a number of different cryptocurrencies (ie a basket of them) directly as a diversified crypto portfolio.

Hutchy 19 Friday, 22 Oct 2021 at 03:28 pm new

Not a Bitcoin investor but saw the ETF and now this . Seems to be creeping into the mainstream .

"While adoption of cryptocurrencies is accelerating among the investor class, rapidly enabled by this week's launch of the first bictoin (futures) ETF, it appears the even broader adoption of digital currencies into day-to-day life and mom-and-pop may be about to escalate dramatically.

Reuters reports that Walmart customers at some of its U.S. stores will be able to purchase bitcoin using ATM-like machines installed by Coinstar.

Coinstar, known for its machines that can exchange physical coins for cash, has partnered with digital currency exchange CoinMe to let customers buy bitcoin at some of its kiosks."

Digital currency is minor…block chain technology is where the real change will come…it will change everything.

Lack of understanding or mention of block chain when people talk about crypto easily shows how little they actually know. Same goes for NFT and it’s roll in the future.

I dropped a few $k into shiba inu when it was 00000890 it’s off on a run and is above 000054, so it’s dropped a zero. It is 100% a shit coin and has no real world use, a classic meme coin….BUT, kids love it (my son and all his mates bought it…and that is happening all over Australia and the world) and buy into it and will keep pushing it higher. The bigger fool theory at work.
Pretty funny to watch..it’s a great show.

Investing in this stuff brings closer the end of your freedom. By showing governments your interested in this type of currency you will inevitably bring about a cashless world and a one world currency. Can you imagine the charges implemented by banks and govts. Etc when there is no cash to compete not to mention the manipulation of dark global forces. Monetary slavery of people is the totalitarian dream.

Hutchy 19 Monday, 25 Oct 2021 at 08:39 am new

Optimist - I don't think governments need any encouragement to bring in digital currencies . It is already planned and coming our way too soon .

You are right and cash will be gone as will some of our freedom . They will tell us what we can and can't buy .

People may as well try and make some money in the meantime . EVERYONE needs to realise though that in this market ( and others ) for every dollar made someone will lose a dollar .

Funny comment . What are the implications ?

It's like saying the insurance companies will be weak in the future but giving no detail .

It’s coming. Still early days…Everyone shoukd be getting in sooner rather than later. The real money will flood in pretty fast when it happens.
Fund managers in the US are sitting on over 7 trillion dollars…when they start to buy, it’s on big time.

Ha ha no, it's was alts i had but yeah sold up on a bit of a peak after things went to shit, i pretty much broke even (and bought a boat), but got out as was all doing my head in and consuming me, i can fully understand how gambling can affect peoples life's now, my head became all about Crypto high when things were up down when things weren't and always thinking i needed more money to put in even selling boards etc

I guess it's hard to say no regrets at all when you see current prices, but at the same time i also had fun for a while and have come across lots of money since in other ways, plus money isn't everything and have achieved many other important things in my life since.

Roadkill Saturday, 30 Oct 2021 at 08:31 am new

Anyone here staking? Banks offer .0.5 for a million + invested..give me a fucking break. I’m getting 17% interest with DOT on NEXO at the moment. 12% on most other coins.

I tell people all the time now to start looking at crypto. It ain’t ever going away and there still so much opportunity to make more money than you have ever made before.

soggydog Saturday, 30 Oct 2021 at 08:50 am new

Roadkill, I’ve been on Fegtoken. It’s gone 400%+ in the last month. I haven’t staked anything but I have Feg wrapped etherium and Binance which get paid a portion of the gas fees of all transactions through the exchange. It grows.

donweather Saturday, 30 Oct 2021 at 08:54 am new

Roadkill have you ever stopped and asked yourself where/how these high APRs are coming from and how sustainable they are? Money doesn’t grow on trees. Oh hang on crypto does but because they just keep mining the stuff. It just doesn’t make any sense some of these high (relative to real wold returns) APRs. I call them Ponzi.

And don’t get me wrong. I’m invested in crypto. Just struggle to see how this staking is sustainable.

95% of crypto is garbage and won’t last. There is a heap of dishonest people involved and making a lot of money.

I tend to avoid high staking on dodgy exchanges, and 95% of exchanges are dodgy.

I am well aware of everything you mention, as far as crypto goes I am as careful as can be but do acknowledge risk.

And don’t get me wrong. I’m invested in crypto. Just struggle to see how this staking is sustainable.

congrats and well done

What I don’t understand with shit meme coins is who the Fck is buying them now they’re in the top 10. It’s not like they’re going to do another 10x now.

Kids are buying them. They don’t care what happens.
I bought Shib because I watched what happened with Doge..both are shit coins and have zero use but kids push the price up. My 16 has $2k from $50 invested…all his mates have bought or are buying…1 of his mates has made $40k from Shib…it’s replicated all over the world. Shib has a huge following of pretty clueless people.

It’s crazy stuff.

Well, you could try Nexo.io

Is about as secure and safe as you can get.

velocityjohnno Saturday, 30 Oct 2021 at 07:15 pm new

Cheers once more, will have a look. Sharing info can be good (no advice considered taken) as it saves time. Distilling the learnings of a career into a book can shave years off the learning curve, with crypto I expect everything is an order of magnitude faster.

velocityjohnno Sunday, 31 Oct 2021 at 09:40 am new

And more awesome, did that dmor a bit this morning and it is exciting. I can see where it will lead. Also thrilled to find products like Ups and Downs on BitMEX loosely follow the recipe of options, imo - of course, dyor!
Good on ya Roadkill.

Mass adoption will be fast. You're either in it or not. In a few years, many will regret missed opportunities.

I do note SquidGame has dead cat bounced from under a cent to about 3 cents at present. A fall from $2800ish per coin/token (and the rise to it for that matter) is absolutely incredible. Caveat Emptor.

It’s easy money. Anyone can make money but too many are closed minded and can’t get their head around the shift happening.
