But if you have, multiply that by about a million and that's where that 14 year old could be. A close friend works in mental health. The hospital they work at is full of adults who have a multitude of issues - you name it - depression, anxiety, drug addiction, identity issues, abandonment.....etc... etc... So many of those issues begin with sexual abuse. Male and female. You might be getting older but I doubt you've grown up much from that 14 year old. For someone so eloquent; at times you can be a blockhead.

Gawd….why do we have to assume everyone is a fragile victim? Since when did it become the default position of humanity to be completely without resilience?
And that’s without accepting the obvious premise that the young fella was probably stoked out of his mind at the experience. Not to mention that most 14 year olds get their heart broken anyway and it’s mostly recalled with a bittersweet nostalgia.
Not everything is a tragedy. Not every unscheduled moment in life leads to uncontrollable sobbing in a psych ward.

When I was 14 we had a substitute teacher who appeared in Playboy. Myself and the other 14 year old boys could think of nothing better than to get our filthy little hands on the women spread out in all her glory over the pages of the magazine which we used to smuggle into class and flit from looking at her spectacular photos to looking at her in real life.
Pretty safe to say we wouldn’t have ended up sucking our thumbs in the foetal position if we’d somehow managed to pump her four times over the course of a day. It would have been the highlight of our young lives.

One of the most messed up people ive ever met, who was also a smooth talker and seemed like a chick magnet on first impressions was raped by his older sister and older brother since he was 4 or 5.
He was also a needy scab spending all his pension money on tattoos then begging me for ciggies every 30 minutes and asking for food every day. There are some messed up people around from this sort of thing. The reason he spent so much money on tattoos is to cover self harm cutting he did to his body.
