Septic Tanks are going to Septic Tank

Debate winner is the one who can produce a larger quantity of controversial social media snippets. And election winner will be the one who gets more people to go out and vote in key states. Sadly, this is the world we live in.

Thats actually very true on both points.

And yeah without compulsory voting its really all about who can get enough people motivated to vote, in a sense its almost a positive to be the underdog.

Hello Waxy 24

You seem to be very busy at the moment , with a few things a bit up in the air .

Sometime things just pop up at the most inappropriate times .

We are meant 2 be tested , it hardens us up .

You seem to have a tip top heart mate , guessing your mum is very proud of U and has given U lots of good advice and support .

I heard a young woman say this morning in a meeting , she had to clean some toilets at a Venue , it was her turn .

She said it was a horrible job , but just doing it gave her such joy .

Whatever U can do 4 your mum , will be much more than she probably wants ,or expects .

As U know , U can't do everything , so please don't worry 2 much .

Any moment u have with your mum , can be very special .

I am glad U picked me , I think , lol to chat 2 !

Here is a prayer 4 you ( I am not religious lol ) !

To whoever it may concern :) -Grant me the serenity 2 accept the things I cannot change . The courage to change the things I can and the wisdom 2 know the difference .

Bon Chance Waxy and keep waxing your boards !

Always happy 2 chat with U !

Nah mate she spun a lot of shit too just more subtle and clever, like you banging on about Project 2025, knowing its bullshit, but it dont matter, its the same shit Trump does, so cant diss her for it, fight fire with fire.

I do think she (or her team) outsmarted Trump though clearly they thought about how they approached thing's and had a strategy, everything from the handshake (being assertive) to just being smart in turning Trumps strengths into weaknesses, pretty much baiting him, and he gobbled the baits up

Trump on the other hand probably went in overconfident thinking he had it in the bag, just go through the motions like with Biden, easy peazy.

I think she won this one, odds are even reflecting this.

She was behind now in front again.

Harris 49.9 Trump 48.5

Dude it's a think tank, there is all kinds of think tanks.

It doesn't mean the Republicans or Trump want those things and even if they did it doesn't mean they are able to get those things through.

And Trump sure isn't the kind of leader to be told what to do by others.

It's basically just scaremongering aimed at swing voters..nothing more.

But to be fair, Trump also plays the scaremongering card all the time too.

Juliang Wednesday, 11 Sep 2024 at 06:24 pm new

@ Indo
Yes , the Republicans don’t necessarily want the authoritarianism of Project 2025
But MAGA and the Heritage Foundation do
that’s why they took over the party
Why would you bother to take 3 years
to formulate a 900 page policy
Blueprint , if you had no plans to use it
And how did other dictators manage to get their way ?

Juliang Wednesday, 11 Sep 2024 at 06:42 pm new

@indo
So how do you know project 2025 is all
bullshit when you haven’t read 1 page of it
And if it is all bullshit , why don’t you have a go at the far right authors of it
For wasting everybody’s time
Your argument doesn’t make sense , if you look into it

Good response @PoppaD, it's amazing how rare it is (seemingly increasingly, as we get older) that people actually listen. If people DO listen, they often feel the need to give advice, platitudes, opinion, or display their knowledge in response (not because of malice, just social awkwardness). Cheers for venting @wax.

wally Wednesday, 11 Sep 2024 at 07:05 pm new

“ Many people Trump knows quite well are behind it.

Six of his former Cabinet secretaries helped write or collaborated on the 900-page playbook for a second Trump term published by the Heritage Foundation. Four individuals Trump nominated as ambassadors were also involved, along with several enforcers of his controversial immigration crackdown. And about 20 pages are credited to his first deputy chief of staff.

In fact, at least 140 people who worked in the Trump administration had a hand in Project 2025, a CNN review found, including more than half of the people listed as authors, editors and contributors to “Mandate for Leadership,” the project’s extensive manifesto for overhauling the executive branch.

Dozens more who staffed Trump’s government hold positions with conservative groups advising Project 2025, including his former chief of staff Mark Meadows and longtime adviser Stephen Miller. These groups also include several lawyers deeply involved in Trump’s attempts to remain in power, such as his impeachment attorney Jay Sekulow and two of the legal architects of his failed bid to overturn the 2020 presidential election, Cleta Mitchell and John Eastman.”

Once it starting polling poorly, Trump said he hardly knew these people and knew nothing much about it, as is his standard pattern.

Heritage Foundation do, because yes thats who created it.

MAGA is just a slogan if you want to use it to describe hardcore Trumpers, well im sure they all have varied views, im sure there's things in there that many agree with and also things many dont.

Why create the 900 page document?

Because thats what think tanks do they create wish list and try to gain support and implement these ideas, the best way to do this is to put these ideas out there in an official document presented as professionally as possible where they can then be taken seriously.

And if elected the Republican party might even use some of these ideas, but even then it doesn't actually mean they did because of the document, many of the ideas are just basic conservative type ideas & values.

BTW. To say the Heritage foundation took over the Republican party and then say Trump is a dictator is a contradiction, it would mean the Heritage party has the power and not Trump, which would mean Trump isn't a dictator, you cant have it both ways.

Mate you addressed me about it.

Yeah so what if people who have worked with Trump are involved in it, no surprises, it's a major conservative think tank aimed at the Republican party.

For perspective there is over 110 conservative groups involved in it.

"As we've been saying for more than two years now, Project 2025 does not speak for any candidate or campaign. We are a coalition of more than 110 conservative groups advocating policy & personnel recommendations for the next conservative president. But it is ultimately up to that president, who we believe will be President Trump, to decide which recommendations to implement,"

BTW. I posted a video here the other week that broke much of it down, honestly i got bored with it and didn't watch the whole video, as long, but much of it wasn't too bad, but im a conservative, although i expect there is stuff i dont agree with in there.
