Yeah, mate, agree on a coupla things here… one, yes, there is talent, from what i can see on both sides of the aisles. One on the right that i can work with is Dan Crenshaw. Not that i agree with him on, well, most things,, but i’d be more than happy to lean into his competence and his willingness to consider Other Ideas. Check him out.
And yes, there are layers and layers where mistakes are made in the assessment of electability.
Deep State?! As that is advertised?! Please.
(and i get that you were just using it cuz it has become common enough that we can communicate by referencing it)
This is a Democracy/Republic. The first of it’s kind, in modern history. It replaced a monarchy system.
No matter HOW noble the ideas/ideals… they’ll still be carried out by Falliable-As-Fuck humans.
Meaning, those that have, will rule.
That is true across the fucking board, my friend.
To cherry pick examples of that ubiquitous piece of humanity to ascribe conspiracy theory?
Please.

For clarity, Indo, i am taking exception with the notion of a Deep State, as it is utilized in these types of spaces.

Here you go @juliang, been playing this for years
Hey Guy… roughest two weeks of my life were spent on a night like this.
Basesix. Hi mate. Love a road trip, just finished packing, in bed Swellnetting, starts at 5.30am tomorrow, quick brekkie, regional taxi pick up from my farm, drop off bus stop in nearest town, 7.30am bus to Tullamarine airport, 11,20am flight to Cairns, 2.40pm arrival, grab ex wife’s work Ute from airport car park, shop for food, fill up solar fridge, head to Yorkeys Knob 10km north of Cairns, pull into the best little Thai restaurant in the village, the woman is Thai and makes the most authentic and delicious food take away, short drive to the beach esplanade illuminated shelter and toilet block, listen to wailing Bush Stone Curlews that gather, eat whilst watching Port Adelaide v Hawthorn on the iPad, from here on ‘free camping’ begins, slither into the back of the Ute canopy, not a soul would know I’m in there, dream the night away and hit the road, Tully River Gorge, there’s a few Cassowaries hanging there at the moment, ‘I’m Johnny on The Spot’ first thing. Life is good. AW
Edit. Which ‘Wide Open Road’ are you on B6 ? Safe travels my friend.
Topical I would have thought
Looking at the grave
At the scenery around you
Home of the brave
Sometimes they leave you like they found you
Sometimes they worship you
Sometimes they tear your houses down
Sometimes they comfort you
Sometimes they spread your life around
Nothing you can see
That they won't try to give you
Land of the free
Where the legend will outlive you
When you earn their trust
When you are truly in danger
Where greed and lust
Have never been a stranger
Home of the brave
That's where heroes need protection
Media images slaves
Live by random selection
You sell your heart
But that's not the price of freedom
Where things are useful
Only when you need them
Where will you go
When you need to make some changes
Who will you love
In a world of constant strangers
I'll go with you
If you want to take a hero home
I'll stay behind
If you want to take a hero home
Looking at the grave
At the scenery around you
Home of the brave
Sometimes they leave you like they found you
Home of the brave
Home of the brave
Home of the brave
Home of the brave
Home of the brave
Home of the brave
Travel safely travel well
Hey Pops. Congrats on the retirement and travel!
(my joke with peers is that i will retire at approx noon on the day of my funeral.)
not cuz of some noble, archaic work ethic (tho, i do possess that), but because things have become viciously expensive. lol?
Anyways, good on ya for the opportunity embraced.
Seems like you had some tumult and came through.
I’d sure bet on ya.
So glad to hear that you’ve settled.
Humans are funny as all get out.
We want hearth and home AND freedom!
(fwiw… i agree with you and side on hearth and home. but need my getaways to find balance. i’m weird.)
For you @AW and others out on the road … rare EP release: Interstate

As fit as trout @AW, safe travels and looking forward to hearing back about your adventures
Hey Base… sorry for extra delay with response to this vid….
i find that it does not merit response.
I find that it merits consideration, unpacking, self-discovery, ponderence, ownership, and all kindsa other stuff that is too beyond me to say.
I liked it.
I have gotten through 19 mins of it and have already put a few things in my pocket.
To “respond?”
i would do it nothing but injustice.
(that means i am really liking it and that i am melodramatic)
This is what i think.
One of the biggest things Trump has going for him is his record on border control, and one of Kamala's weakness is her record on border control.
So Trump talking shit when he doesn't need to is just really dumb, instead of people focussing on the democrats failings and letting in something like 10 million illegal immigrants, they are taking about Trump saying immigrant's are eating peoples cats and dogs.
He turned what should be a big win, into a loss.
Do most immigrants eat cats and dogs, no of course not as most immigrants cultures dont eat cats and dogs.
Have immigrants eaten cats and dogs? even someones pet.
Id expect its happened, my Indo wife doesn't eat dog but her sister loves it, many cultures do.
In regards to abortion, same deal it didn't need to be said, he just needed to state the facts, that abortion is a state issue for each state to decide.
But he talked shit and gave her a win.
Post birth abortion is illegal in the USA and using the word executed sure aint a good or accurate description, but that said there is a bigger picture.
"More media claims infanticide isn’t happening. Here’s what the data says.
In a recent article in Teen Vogue, the author instructs her audience that there’s no such thing as “post-birth abortion,” arguing that infanticide is illegal in the United States and therefore any statement that it is happening is “categorically false.” A look at the facts, however, pokes holes in this common pro-abortion claim.
The fate of abortion survivors
Infanticide most commonly happens when infants are born alive following botched abortion procedures and are then given no medical care. According to data from the CDC, over the course of 12 years, over 100 infants have survived for at least a short time after a botched abortion. And from 1999-2023, over 220 infants were found to have survived abortion in just eight states.
What isn’t known is how many of these survivors received medical care, and how many were left to die."

Have a good trip
Yeah I did the drive from Brisbane to
Cairns in a van a few years ago
Met my ex and the kids up there who caught the train up there
Great trip, there’s a lot of country North of Noosa , if you just keep driving
Checked out Bundy, Rocky, Mackay , Townsville etc
I kept checking the coast line but no swell of course
Beautiful coast anyway
Not the normal place a surfer might go
I stayed at some beaches , north of Cairns in my van for a while
Beautiful beaches and hinterland
and it keeps going up past Port Douglas
Through the Daintree etc
What struck me was the amount of coastline
that doesn’t get swell , and so is not seen by so many surfers!
Radar love , Jeremy Clarksons favourite

I know it’s CNN. Seems fair enough though.
Kamala did her job.
Remember when Shorten had all those policies and Morrison chose to have none whilst news corp spread the lies.
Script flipped.

but ran home in a fit of rage,
as soon as somebody stood up to him”
No incitement there ?

No incitement there ?
Trump even lied to the rioters
When he said

South East Asians moved to the US , due 2 war in their countries .
Just left and moved to anther country .
They did take with them , traditions and beliefs .
In 1982 , the NY Times had no problem reporting that the Vietnam people were Poaching Squirrels , ducks and dogs in San Fran .
That in Utah , poaching of deer , porcupines , doves , woodpeckers , baby birds , eggs , fish and even Skunks , was happening .
It said that these people needed the Poaching Rules of the US explained .
That they were just doing , what they had always done .
They were using their Skills 2 get food .
I was in Bhutan and Chickens were running everywhere .
If I moved there , I LOVE roast chicken and would catch one .
The locals are Buddhist and would never kill an animal .
They are all like pets .
Pigs are a popular pet in the US .
Pigs being roasted on a spit , are popular 2 .
Amazing how History repeating itself , causes such Hysteria , nowadays .
Oh Burliegh stop it.
He shit the bed and you know it.
Can’t blame anyone else.
Except Pop that it isn’t happening.
An American woman with mental health issues was arrested for eating a cat in a town some 300k away from Springfield.
Now she also has to cope with itchy bum from the worms.
I think they gave Trump more than enough rope In that debate
Trumps pulling out of the next debate
because he won the last one
and doesn’t need to have another one
Classic twisted logic
Afternoon Jules
U have hit another nail on the head , with your post and summarised it perfectly .
Classic Twisted logic .
Edit
I note your late change Jules , u elected 2 remove an Election with a debate :) .
Classic Freud !
Yes the last debate wasn’t really fair for Trump
because they gave him way too much time
to keep saying dumb stuff
@ pop down
