I’ve got a mate that works as a security consultation / advisor to a bunch of USAID programs globally. US company, but he’s UK-based. He’s regularly in a lot of pretty hairy places. Haiti, a bunch of African states, Ukraine.
From his perspective, the work being done in these varied locations is ‘good’ work; appreciated by the locals, sensitive to requirements, helps build better governance into local security, helps deliver important programs, and builds a lot of credit for the US. At the moment they’re faced with ‘chaos’ as the result of the Trump EO. Lack of certainty, not sure if they’re going to need to lay off hundreds of workers.

Re: Supa's link about the tariffs on "large displacement automobiles" - back when Australia signed an FTA with Thailand (which has allowed their dual cab utes to take over the Aussie market), Ford Oz tried exporting the Aussie built Territory back to Thailand.
As soon as the FTA was signed, Thailand imposed a heinous duty on any motor 2.7L or bigger - the diesel in the Aussie car was 2.7L - it essentially doubled the price of the car in the Thai market within a week or two of it going on sale.
