My beloved wife and I were once lucky enough to see Don and His Suave Fucks as part of the Cabaret Festival. They had made a little venue with curtains on the actual stage of the Festival Theatre.
We had a little table with a candle on it and a lovely lady bringing us drinks.
Don was about 4m away and he played my wife's favorite song of his. I thought my heart was going to explode for her.

saw tim rogers do a sorta autobiographical cabaret playlist / sorta tim-needs-a-project-NOW-to-keep-him-on-the-straight-and-narrow stageshow called 7 deadly sins at that festival..

I interviewed him, or tried to, for an article in 2017 and something was clearly amiss then.
Hopefully he's getting the care he needs.
Ol' mate Lanky Dean is back in Hawaii. He's been sending through random photos: weird waves, good surfers, guys mowing the lawn in their thongs - all sorts of stuff.
This photo came captioned:
"Who's board is this?"
My response?
"The green gun makes me think of Winton but he never had those sponsors.
"Brock also rode green boards (or had green on them, he was born on St Patrick's day) but he mostly rode for Gotcha.
"Tom Carroll rode for Quik and O'Neill but never at the same time. Doubt he would've ridden Willis bros as he was on Rawson's from a young age.
"Liam rode Willis bros but never those sponsors.
"Dunno, Marvin Foster? Mickey Nielson?"
Wrong. The red buzzer lit up and made the 'buh-bow' sound.
