I heart WOTD
Gnaraloo and Red Bluff... Was planning week or so in Kalbarri, but car issue so stuck in Carnarvon for week, so only 2 nights in Kalbarri. Was start of school hols so could not stay longer due to caravan park being booked out, was pretty disappointed as really nice town, regardless of waves...
Great sunset from pub....

Indeed... supafreak great old school shot. Im guessing thats a north wind spot near gero? Didnt you used to live there?
If that's the spot im thinking....Once when i lived there the rivermouth opened up after rain and created a sick bank coinciding with swell and good winds.
Sharky dark water and heaps of fish though.
Awesome SF, would have loved to experienced that in the early days. I dont know when that area started getting surfed but i remember seeing nude hippies checking the surf there...would have been unreal living like that, catching fish and crays etc and riding horses and surfing.
Solid wave by Phil Goodrich in today WOTD. Knowing Phil like i do that would have been one of many. Very stylish surfer. Makes it look so easy.
Only 12 guys in shot . Must be a semi secret spot. I wonder if that big rock in the middle gets waves ?

Not lately that’s for sure
Yeah i agree very clever.
Today's one is hard to tell where it is since the background land can either be joining the land on the left or the right of the beach in focus.
Great shot Craig.

Romy on holidays?
Hah, thought exactly the same. Up your way, no?
Stare at the pic for a bit and it looks like he has 3 arms and 1 leg.
and he's made of rubber
Should have photo shopped the skyline of todays pic and everyone would be throwing comments on where it could be.
Even though small looks so fun.
Sept. 25, great shot and even better caption.
A horse walks into a bar and...
Good to start the day with a smile.

Cheers Zen. Bit of cross-pollination going on too, as both Sydney Swans and the Wallabies got seriously spanked last night. Few sad people waking up this morning.

How was the opening to that album. No doubt about what you had in front of you. Epic.
Define Grunge in one track:
BTW…..yes. Great caption!
Hoarmoaning, the 1992 Aus tour album, kicked arse.
As did the Cats yesterday! Go you Catters!

Awesome. Cheers Blowin. It’s probably been 20 years since I last heard that. Time to revisit 18 on YouTube

Agreed. Old mate’s posture suggests something big and nasty coming in rapidly behind it.

Agree 100%, and will add a nice line leading to the forthcoming turn. Isn’t it amazing that you can tell, even with the crop, where it is?

Sure can blackers, lots of pleasure and pain in and around that part of the reef :)

The photographer’s name helps in the location
True, but I recognised it before I read his tag. There is something about it that stands out.

The wave of the day does it for me big time. Nice work Steen Barnes , Shaun Anderson and Swellnet.
In one photo you've encompassed everything nice about surfing. If I was a wanker I'd say that it was perfect except for the fact he is in a wetsuit. Which it is , it's perfect .....except for the fact he's in a wetsuit.
