Nothing wrong with 95% written on this thread. It has definitely been a source of enlightenment for me. Ie - links attached.
I don’t agree with the tag of misinformation. Take what you want out of it, both sides have been proven to be wrong at times. I don’t believe anyone out there is deliberately trying to spread false info.
I probably lean towards the Donald’s beliefs but not completely and he lets himself down with his posts. It’s garbage.
I myself have been guilty of abuse but I felt it was warranted after roadkill was posting a Insta page that celebrated anti vaxers deaths from COVID. Everybody has a tipping point.
Keep the thread open, tone down the childish slurs.
#bringbackhutchy
guessing you are no 1 now then
I think the thread should stay open. Where else can you gain some insight into the minds of people with contradictory views to your own, without having to converse with them in person?
Wow that's a surprise.
I tried to warn him as didnt want to see him banned, i dont think it was so much what he said but more that he pushed things in every thread and clogged the forum with his post, guess it pissed a few people off and Stu clearly wasnt a fan.
@zen said "Finally, try not to post if I've had a few."
+1 to this. I can admit that i've said some pretty stupid and embarassing stuff after a few in the last couple of months. Enough to be part of the reason to get off the beers and get back into a healthy headspace. Alot of that was the stress associated with mandates and trying to make a living.
Don't wanna add any more fuel to the fire on here. My whole perspective has changed to less of opposing and division and more of unity and being there for each other. It's a theme that i think can be carried to all issues, including having an open heart to our indigenous Australians amongst many other 'fringe' groups.
I don't feel the thread reflects badly on SN. I always believe only you can make yourself feel the way you do, and if you choose to click on these threads and participate in them, that's your choice as much as it is to turn away. It's only entertainment after all. Just wishing good vibes and some kind of unity for all of us, on here and all over the world. Long term goal!! ha.

Indo "Wow that's a surprise."
Indo, if I was a Woolie local and not a Lonnie local, you and I would be mates too. Polar opposites politically ,we'd have great arguments and sling funny shit at each other and have a laugh about it all, and I'd drop in on you all the time and we'd laugh about that too, or I would. Life's too short.
Surprised some that post all high and mighty all over the forums are not subscribers.
Guess google pays more than subscribers, if not i'd be making forums and articles for subs only.
Pay up or shut up lol.
+1
Yeah cool i respect that, most of my friends are what i would consider leftist, but i honestly just try to avoid politics and dont judge them on different ideals/views.
Over the last year its actually been harder to bite my lip with friends or family (sister) that are against Covid vaccines really because they seem to always want to talk about it.
BTW Lonnie as in Tassie?
Interesting to see the Deputy Drunk saying politicians should listen to the Canberra Cookers.
What Barnaby wants is their votes. That's the only reason why he'd listen to these lunatics.
These people think covid is a hoax, the police used sonic weapons on the protestors, that all MPs should be immediately dismissed, and a wide range of other batshit crazy conspiracy theories.
And who exactly would our alcoholic deputy PM speak too? The guys dressing up pretending to be soldiers, the cooked muppets who set fire to Old Parliament House twice, grifters like Monica Smit, or fucked up clowns like Bosi or the evangelical ex-pilot?
These people need help in the form of a strong welfare safety net and access to affordable mental health professionals. Barnarby of course isn't offering that. He's just milking the mob for votes by pretending they have sensible things to say. He will string them along until Election Day and then cut them loose giving these lunatics absolutely nothing.
You've got to wonder how many of the freedom protesters would've also been at the blm protest?
WARNING VL, maybe check your meds or whatever your on before you look at any of these lol

@VL
Surely we've seen the last gasp for air from this movement in Australia. It's fragmentation is huge. The varying degrees of cookedness is huge. The disagreements between the leaders is huge. What else did I miss?
It's been said a number of times of this page that the quality of individuals spearheading the anti everything movement should immediately be a red flag for anyone who feels like straying towards their ideologies. But now, they're bickering g among each other too?

Gotta agree on one thing though:
man-dates are gay.
Watching that Korean zombie series on Netflix, 'All of us are dead'. Its a good watch but also a slightly different take on the genre as it was made post covid, and it takes place in a post covid world.
You can see the misinformation, the politicising, the martial law etc.
Also an interesting take on it as, similar to covid, it's the asymptomatic cases which are the real problem.
There's a few scenes of significant force against the public in the city where the infections started, and the military commander says 'think of the lives we'll save by doing this'.
Yes of course covid is no where near as infectious or as deadly, but it had some good take aways:
Firstly, the asymptomatic and mild nature of covid actually makes it near impossible to track and trace without significant control. You can't rely on the individual taking responsibility for one's health and protection because most people won't know they're spreaders.
Secondly, we all have no clue how bad this could have been if no actions or lighter actions were taken, if the vaccines weren't used or mandated. Not sure who it was, but a link was shared the other week with Rita Panahai banging on about how most people in Aus with covid died with underlying conditions, and only a hundred or so Australians without underlying conditions died. This is pure propaganda, which ignores the deaths of those with underlying conditions, but also ignores the reductions in deaths due to the lockdown and vaccine measures.
Stok, I’ve asked this question many times. Do you know if countries that didn’t bring in heavy mandates/coercion had a higher death rate percentage over the last two years?
Yes Burls.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1104709/coronavirus-deaths-worldwid…
Really robo, Posting al those links.
You expect me to watch cooker videos and read cooker crap all afternoon?
Unlike you champ, I've got betting things to do with my time.
I didn't look at them just copied and pasted lol, but they are right up your cooker alley, should make you feel justified
Now I’m not saying it doesn’t show it, but can you point me in the direction where it shows death have increased? We’re in a pandemic, it shouldn’t be too hard to find
Doesn’t start until about the 5.30 mark
Statement from Canadian Civil Liberties Association:
"The federal government has not met the threshold necessary to invoke the Emergencies Act. This law creates a high and clear standard for good reason: the Act allows government to bypass ordinary democratic processes. This standard has not been met.
The Emergencies Act can only be invoked, according to its own terms, when a situation “seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and is of such proportions or nature as to exceed the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it,” or “seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada” and when the situation “cannot be effectively dealt with under any other law of Canada.”
The Emergencies Act is there to address these kinds of extreme threats to Canada, not to protect the economy.
Governments regularly deal with difficult situations, and do so using powers granted to them by democratically elected representatives. Emergency legislation should not be normalized. It threatens our democracy and our civil liberties."
Ottawa chief of police resigns.
The same 'fringe' group that Trudeau brushed off are now a national threat and must have the Emergency act used on them.
What does this all tell an observer? What is the messaging from this??
Keeping in mind the protests were always about mandates, not pro or anti vaccine.
People having their bank accounts frozen is pretty radical . What type of government does this ?
It's nuts Supafreak.
Don't agree with a forced mandate? Not only take your job, stop you from living too. I can't believe this is actually happening.
McGowan must be rubbing his grubby hands together watching how much the Canadian Prime Minister is getting away with.
How will future protests for whatever reasons be dealt with ? With the rest of the world easing restrictions and UK dropping mandates in the medical sector what is Turdeau trying to achieve ? 90% vaccinated , will he only settle for 100% ?
300 + pages!!
When is too much tripe enough?
Can this topic remain open (if it must) but not on the front page.
what is Turdeau trying to achieve ?
Maybe he's just trying to clear the scum from the street and let the people of Ottawa have their city back. The conservative governor has been copping grief for not clearing the scum earlier and the residents are cheering as these turds get arrested and their trucks get towed.
Have you blokes worked out why nobody is coming to support the absolute arseholes that have made life a misery for normal residents for the past month? I will give you a hint. It's because normal people can't stand these fucksticks who have been blaring their horns 24/7 and making life a misery for anyone who works and lives downtown.
It's funny how you think this rabble, and the cookers in Canberra, are popular. They are nothing more than a tiny minority of alt-right deluded conspiracy theorists who don't give a flying fuck about anyone but themselves.
VL. What makes the people scum in your opinion??
Can’t take you seriously Dr Dick . According to you 3 weeks ago they were already defeated and heading home . As far as being cooked you’re definitely at boiling point .
In wellington about 100k of the city residents have signed a petition to get rid of the idiots protesting. Normal folk just want the annoying stupid fuckers to go away.
BD, I would suggest people laying siege to a city and making life unbearable for residents by blasting airhorns at all hours of the night are scum.
Seriously BD, do you really want to defend the incessant blasting of horns at 3am, and intimidation of residents for nearly a month? What exactly would you say to all the downtown business owners and workers who have lost so much due to wankers blocking the streets?
Maybe you can come up with some justification for that type of arsehole behaviour, but I can't.
Just like those happy-go-lucky BLM protesters.
At least the scum mentioned above didn't burn their cities down.
So you agree with him elbowing women and shoving people in parliament
Just watched finding the way out of the pandemic.
Bill Gates response to why should we wear mask, because we wear pants?
Why is he speaking about vaccines? What are his medical qualifications?
Listening to the Canadian minister of foreign affairs mumble, bumble and stumble a response trying to justify Justin's totalitarianism was cringe worthy!
When the guy from Bangladesh questioned the panel about vaccine availability and basically said if the patent/technology was released they had the capability to manufacture.Instead no supply so had to buy chinese vax.The response from the Swedish minister was interesting when she stated that the vaccines would not be developed as quickly as there wasn't the incentive!incentive obviously meaning financial, what about the incentive of saving human lives?
Comfort Ero and Hadley Gamble were impressive.
Fair enough VL. Been following it quite a bit, alot of the live streams. The people i've seen on there haven't been anything at all like the description you gave. Agree, the blasting of airhorns would do your head in. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. A small sacrifice for a few weeks from the citizens of Ottawa, putting up with that, for a cause bigger than themselves.
But each to their own. I see justification in some of your points but i think it's an unfair assumption to categorize a whole movement on that. Everyone there has seemed peaceful, respectful, welleducated, well mannered and full of good vibes. They all just want the same thing. What you might call freedumb, what i would assume is an innate right as a human. Thanks for your reply.
That’s cause they bent over for the jab toady, just like you have to go with flow now lol
Vl thinks ALL protestors are cookers, haven’t heard him pay out on the aboriginal (edited for pc purposes) protesters that burnt old Parliament House though.
btw: pretty odd to have an elected chief of Police, 'resign' right in the middle of one of the largest civil rights movements in Canada's history. I wonder why????
Indo asked "BTW Lonnie as in Tassie? "
Nah, as in Point Lonsdale.
Not everyone is wanting peace and full of good vibes.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/feb/16/ottawa-blockade-strong-ti…
Yeah that sucks @roadkill. The whole point of the peaceful protest was to make a point using peace. I'd imagine the other 99.99 percent there would be very saddened and disappointed. Good they were caught. And also good they weren't a part of the actual protests, which have remained for the most part, non violent except for some heavy handedness from the police.
Oh ok..99.99 were peaceful and the violence was from the police.
You do only see what you want.
Robo, just stop making up absolute crap fool. I've been very critical of the cooked idiots who set alight Old Parliament House twice.
The tent embassy people are furious at those sov cit clowns.
You and your cooked fellow travellers at the Canberra protests aren't getting their way because their demands are just flat out nuts. Immediate removal of all sitting MPs? Oh please.
Normal protestors know if they break the law, don't obey police instructions, or hit cops you get arrested. There's so many anti-vax cooked fuckwits who think they can do anything they want if they read out some idiotic legal opinion or say, "I do not consent" while being arrested.
Like that matters.
Was there violence @roadkill? I didn't hear of any or see any.
Apologies if i'm mistaken.
