Do you think the country/economy would be in this perilous state, per capita recession looking like it's tipping into a full blown one, small businesses collapsing, hospitality industry (in Melbourne at least) collapsing, pubs and restaurants going broke all over, people unable to find or afford rentals, mortgage arrears increasing, and so on, do you think things would have been better in 2024 if Shorten had got in in 2016 and carried through on his policies of restricting exemptions on CG's and removing most of the negative gearing (and franking credits)?
