The day after shows it was a good investment.

Watch what Trump insiders are buying. I’d also be buying BTC mainly.

Trump has signed an executive order to establish a sovereign wealth fund. You can basically guarantee they will hold BTC in that fund.

It will be mooning in no time.

flollo Tuesday, 4 Feb 2025 at 04:33 pm new

I agree on Bitcoin. Volatile times ahead, I reckon I will start selling everything and just DCA into Bitcoin for awhile.

Dumai Tuesday, 4 Feb 2025 at 07:48 pm new

There is BTC and then there’s the rest.BTC is the only one worth putting my cash into.Bought more at the recent low 90’s.Still cheap to were it is going. It’s going all the way whilst the others wither and die.

Agree, everyone should be putting something into it. Even just $50 per week, it’s a small risk for a highly likely reward in a few years

I reckon we’ll see a much bigger crash. I’ll be buying more but there are so many buying opportunities in the market that it’s hard to pick. I’m talking share market as well.

velocityjohnno Saturday, 1 Mar 2025 at 02:46 pm new

Good story from back in 2021. Checked a month or two ago and large blocks of tethers still being created.

There's a bit of a pump in these last 2 days due to the digital asset summit at the White House on Friday. I'm curious to see where it goes. I'm very cautious as it might be another rug pull. But it might also boom a bit.

donweather Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 07:35 am new

BTC seems to be following the traditional markets somewhat more closely these days so I’m not convinced we’ll break out above $100kUSD from any outputs from this crypto summit.

Trump will do his best to pump it mind you.

flollo Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 08:10 am new

Yeah, I think you’re right. Sit and wait for now, I think this year will be a write off.

Supafreak Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 08:25 am new

Is this the year for the world recession ? A few on here have been predicting a crash for the last few years, is this the year ? Surely Elon can make the world great again or is that world on Mars ?

flollo Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 09:11 am new

I reckon that this is the year. Many things are overvalued and I feel that markets waited for a trigger which Trump delivered. The question is; who will crash and who will survive? My gut feel tells me that all will crash.

Supafreak Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 09:32 am new

Thanks for replying flollo , I’m also a dummy in economics . Pulled my super out 2 years ago because I was afraid a crash was coming then .In 2008 saw old blokes going back to work after losing their super in the GFC , it was weird as I left indo after 6 months in 2007 with $500 , started work at a batching plant in PH then moved onto FIFO construction in 2008 on $2500 in the hand and was thinking, what recession ?

flollo Friday, 7 Mar 2025 at 09:40 am new

This article is quite rich with good info. In short, Germany is changing their constitution to borrow more money and increase the deficit, some estimates suggest that Trump’s tax cuts will have to be financed with a $4 trillion deficit (which is a big reason for the tariffs, forget about what you read in the news). Bonds are tanking as investors want more premium for the risk. ECB is cutting rates, meaning cheaper capital. Interest in Europe’s weapons shares is on par with crypto style euphoria. And it goes on and on. Unbelievable times.

Add the usual issues with tariffs, Macron threatening with nuclear weapons, Russians clearly saying that they consider peacemaker NATO boots in Ukraine as an act of war and you have a cocktail of destruction that can go anywhere.

There’s a bit of a surge in the market, volume is going up. What’s going on?

donweather Thursday, 20 Mar 2025 at 12:11 pm new

Whales buying and also placing very large long orders. One whale placed a $38m 40x long order from $84.5k!!!

It’s actually holding up not too badly given the blood on the streets with stocks and gold etc.

But I am in a current short with BTC.

Brave! It's think gold and BTC to be where the money would go at a time like this. The only bear case that I can think of is that they're both overbought.

Good luck. I'm 55% cash, 35% Woolworths and 10% dogshit speccies which are getting absolutely flogged.

Hoping for Woolies to continue running and move to all cash for the foreseeable future. It's going to be a make or break week coming up! A hard time to be a speculator as it feels too much like gambling at the moment.

Narrative is already happening with central banks hinting at rate cuts to counteract the implied recession induced by trump greediness. Buy the dip my friends cause once QE commences we'll be off to the races again!!!

PS BTC short is doing well!! :)

with the rally overnight on the stock market I’m actually surprised we didn’t see BTC hit its ATH also. However it is evident money flowed from safe havens like gold etc into stocks overnight so perhaps that explains BTCs slight drop overnight also.

$172k + change. Hard to know where it goes from here. ? Happy days.

I expect the next 1/4 reporting from the USA to cause a drop in their markets. The gains in the last few weeks will disappear fast imo.

Roadkill Thursday, 22 May 2025 at 03:31 pm new

On 20 May ETFs bought 3120 BTC & 25,640 ETH.

How easy to spend when it is other peoples money.

No real pullback in sight for BTC. I’m looking at it going into the USD$115-120k range in the near term.

donweather Sunday, 29 Jun 2025 at 06:52 am new

I hope you all bought the dip earlier this year. Stock market breaking ATH with BTC to follow shortly.

Probably a few shorts getting destroyed.

liquidations on both sides getting destroyed. I expect some sharp wicks up and down to liquidate more before pushing onwards towards $130k

ETH and Altcoins time to shine now. Short term ETH target - $3.9- 4kish. XRP tearing also. Expecting target close to $4 in the short term.

And if you guys think crypto has no meaningful value, check out the following memecoins:

- Bonk
- Fartcoin
- Useless

These are clearly marketed as fcking no material use coins other than short term money making gain (and pain for the buyers at the top). But the gains on the above memecoins over the last few months are just eye watering. No stoppage in sight in the short term either.

Here's an interesting stat also. If you'd bought $1000 worth of BTC in 2014, you'd now have $1million. Nothing over the last 11 years has even come close to that.

Roadkill Friday, 18 Jul 2025 at 11:34 am new

ETH having it’s day…. Not wanting BTC to have all the glory.

Maybe back to it’s all time high soon.
