Don’t tell Fox News special correspondent Indo about the govt subsidies Musk takes..Tesla would have lost $500 million last FY without subsidies.

Also he has received more than $38 billion in aid, funding and government orders over previous years.

Hi Indo!!

Yet you repeatedly expressed you joy at the failure of "The Voice" at referendum.

And you have repeatedly expressed your joy and delight should Albo fail to win the forthcoming election.

Fuckwit indeed!!!

Reminder: you still haven't answered my question.

Could you please explain to us all how a Constitutionally enshrined “Voice” was determined as “racist’, by Dutton and the LP, yet the very same “Voice”, legislated through Parliament was apparently not “racist”.

Cheers!

Ha ha

You have lost the plot you are now as bad as Jeffy.

The USA government has a huge debt problem, they need to reduce spending and increase government revenue to pay the debt off.

Seeing you think you are some great economics expert you should understand this very basic principle

Yes when you reduce government spending people will lose their jobs, thats life, the alternative of not cutting that spending is far worse for everyone in the long run.

But hey Musk is some enemy of the people for actually trying to reduce spending.

And lets try to destroy a huge USA company that will show them, that will help USA not.

Better still lets try to destroy the second biggest EV company in the world while at the same time whinging about climate change (looking at you Jeffy)

You people are just crazy filled with hate, you don't even know why, you just want to hate something, you are the type of people, that would run a key down the side of some innocent persons tesla cause you now hate Elon and then get your mug plastered over social media not even understanding that they have up to 9 security cameras on each vehicle.

The voice was never legislated through parliament?

But if it was and put in policy only i guess you could argue it's still racist.

But there is a very big difference between having something enshrined in the constitution and something put in policy only, one is for pretty much forever one is not.

Creating a constitution with different rights and representation based on race is 100% racist, it would have been a huge step backwards, hence why most Aussies voted against it.

Just heard an interview with Will Oldham, aka Bonnie Prince Billy. He was talking about a new song on his 30th album, The Purple Bird.

The opening track, 'Turned to dust (rolling on)' contains the lyric "Tempted by the lure of a liar, who preys upon the foolish and the weak". He talked about the process of creating the song, written before the recent US election; how they didn't discuss the details of the lyric that he desperately wanted included. He was respectful of his collaborators, who were older and from the southern states, and he remains unsure (and doesn't care) if they were thinking of the same "liar". They simply got to the crux of the human experience involved and avoided the specifics to create something cathartic to experience; joyfully coming together to create something positive, whatever the viewpoint.

So much black and white shite gets thrown around here and elsewhere by narcissists, too full of their own sense of self importance and the rightness of their views. Could learn something, but yeah nah keep rolling on being right.

Honestly if he was in Australia as prime minister it would be a bit scary.

Trumps kind of won me over in many ways since becoming president but he has turned things up to 11 he needs to turn it down to about 8.

Theres a shit load i fully support him on, but also shit i wish he wouldn't do like the Canada and Greenland things, and just going so hard on tariffs etc

I think he is taking on too many issues at once, but i think the problem is he only has four years, so going very hard early, hopefully he tones it down a little as we go on.

Will Oldham (Bonnie "Prince" Billy) has rarely made a wrong step his whole career. Good starting points for albums are I See a Darkness, for the emotional heft and dark humour, Ease Down the Road for a breezier, alt country vibe, and Viva Last Blues by his earlier incarnation, Palace Music, for a more ramshackle and indie, for wont of a better adjective, VIBE. Getintoit.

Also get into this video some dude made in which he flies Will out to meet him to take mushrooms. It's strangely compelling viewing and at times, hilarious.

Glad to see some shared love for Will Oldham. It wasn't my intention to sell the man and his music (but do yourself a favour) but more that I like his outlook. There is enough tribalism about, you can speak your truth, without denying that someone else may have a different truth. Wouldn't kill anyone to keep their opinions to themselves sometimes.

Trump’s priorities may not be inline with his supporters, an increase of 150 billion seems a bit excessive compared to what other super powers spend. ……. The bill “will be paid for by devastating cuts that can only come from critical programs like Medicaid, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and student loan and grant programs at the Department of Education,” Smith said in a statement Sunday. “And to add insult to injury, this will all be part of a legislative package that provides $4.5 trillion in tax cuts for the wealthy but does nothing to lower costs for American families.” https://thehill.com/policy/defense/5270979-house-republicans-pentagon-s…
