However, many in the USA, both corporations and individuals accumulated extreme wealth due to their trade with China, and this could have been handled within the US domestically a lot better.
When a full-time worker at Walmart still needs government assistance to live whilst the family who are the major shareholder is one of the world's richest families, there is a problem with wealth distribution in the US.
Tariffs in this case will just make everyone poorer, and the USA in my view will lose the trade war.
I just hope Australia is not fooked over in the process as we rely on the global trade system especially China and Asia.

sorry @sypkan/@Confusion, I have no idea of the bells vs call-to-prayer issues, but I have contributed to church bell restoration (and organ) and sung in choirs with people in churches supporting building restorations and contributing to the 'culture' - a couple of funky un-trad ones that even @Opti would approve of..
I love the history, and the art and trades..

(after muddling about in ubud and java making friends in gamelan orchestras and having them show me some basics, I was stoked to learn that Flinders Uni had a full slendro and pelog gamelan orchestra pendopo they built with an Indo gov't grant in the 80s .. and you could learn as an asian studies elective - it's still there, what a cool thing.. )

It is in Aceh the only province of about 33 in Indo with Sharia law though.
Aceh is actually a really nice place, landscape is incredible and still lots of jungle, people are still friendly, but it sucks that you cant just relax and have a beer, i dont want to get drunk when im in Indo, but i do love having a beer or three at the end of the day.
