Roadkill Tuesday, 11 Mar 2025 at 07:53 pm new

Musk nearly had a little cry when interviewed about Tesla currently.

That is more than any empathy or thought or pity or nearly a little cry for the 000’s he has sacked whilst smiling smugly and squealing with delight.

Irony right there.

Bill's been getting heat in his IG comments etc and accused of going "woke" for his recent shitting on billionaires and Free Luigi stance. Often this involves him being called a hypocrite because he's a millionaire. First, he's been on the fuck the mega-wealthy train for a while, second, don't these dopes know the difference between millionaires and billionaires? Thirdly, who the FUCK sticks up for billionaires. There's no reason for anyone to have that much wealth. None.

I think you may be confused about all his money being tied up in tesla shares . He has more than 1 company, I believe tesla will rebound anyway , probably not in the car division which has heavy competition from china , more in the robotics division. Tesla will crash even further but share price is only where it was in Oct. It’s a staggering collapse. But the growth over the 3 months of election cycle was also unprecedented. It’s a meme stock and such growth had no connection to anything meaningful or real.

Interesting facts:

Tesla's earnings are not primarily from vehicle sales but rather: (1) government subsides for charging station infrastructure; (2) green credits paid to Tesla by other car manufacturers; and (3) their Bitcoin reserves ..... and all three (3) are subject to increasing future competition and/or market variations when it comes to the crypto.

Tesla's share price should still fall down to between 30 - 40% of current level based on how market's would generally value the price on a P:E basis, however, most pension and superannuation funds around the world have invested in the stock thus the price is artificially boosted .... at the minute, there is absolutely no reason why the funds should hold onto the stock in the medium term subject to individual fund criteria

flollo Wednesday, 12 Mar 2025 at 06:30 pm new

Oh yeah, P/E is still around 120, even with this crazy crash. For example, Ford is around 7. Ok Ford is probably too low, solid company now but no one expects them to grow. But if Tesla is reduced to just a ‘automaker’ then it will go way more than 30-40%. Let’s face it, the whole buzz was around Elon so if Elon is not a factor anymore then Tesla has no future.

Yep most people dont think about being left or right or conservatives or progressives, even if they are rusted on voters of one party or another, most people aren't even that political, and the amount of people that buy things or dont buy things based on who the owner of the company is, is very small.
