Ah blackers, the 90's, it was only the other day wasn't it?
And I reckon another poster here was at this one?

Ah mate, it was a lifetime ago! Plenty of fond but hazy memories. The music helps keep them alive, locks in the time and place.
haha, or not, i must have done to much brain to my damage
oh & here's a 'd' for blackers alphabet game, saw these guys at the prince one time and they were unreal!

Absolutely it does.
Here's a beautiful G name song. It even has a tasteful saxophone solo, if you can believe that.

Nice. But from the sublime to the ridiculous...check some very youthful faces in this clip.

That’s an old favourite, Stu but why not head straight to the top shelf on this epic Friday arvo?
Fuck...alphabet.
I was just getting into the game, racking my mildly beer-soddled brain for a good song starting with haitch and you fellas just jump in with whatever you please.
Listened to that album on a road trip last week. Best opening and closing songs.
Sorry mate. Didn’t realise you were engaged in a High Fidelity esque musical listical.
What’s the story? Any old song beginning with H?

Well played. Creed Mctaggart's band Wash covered that one too.
Sticking with G by an equally ridiculous yet brilliant band.

Hang on- I wanted to join in on this but I thought it was songs alphabetically including peoples names?
Besides, I couldn't match you cool dudes anyway.
Here's a D and my namesake :-
Gotta over a Friday.

John Zorn has a song cycle called "Book of Angels". Over 250 songs all with angels names. Probably the whole alphabet.
I don't know how to post links but check out the track Yezriel. It may be credited to Marc Ribot whom arranged it [composed by Zorn tho]
You might like it Constance.
Here’s your link Matlock.

Thanks Blackers.
The little master Trevor Dunne on bass.
Ribot on guitar.
G.Calvin Weston on drums.
And they all go off.
I dig listening to that track at 100 decibels after for double rums and two jazz cigarettes.
I haven't listened to Green On Red for ages. Gonna do that now.
Here's my K, than a hell of an L.

Townes van Zandt !
Didn't he write "The Snake Song".
Emmylou Harris does a great version of that on Nick and Warren's "Lawless" soundtrack.
Loretta, Lefty and Little Willie.

But he's never ever been where his mouth goes
Well it's all the same that vicious zeal
But how does what's false apply to what is real?
And why's it got to be a mystery?
You got to lay it out"
Seemed relevant

and thanks for that Gravies link the other day Blackers. I'd stumbled on that article not long ago, pretty cool read.
Fred clearly hasnt changed since those early days, and got away with much crudeness at that Bris gig. No chicken or fruit involved this time. Instead, he was keen to show the crowd how a cock could come out of a mouth. Blow-up sex doll involved
He is a funny boy, Greenjam, no filters.
No Birtday Party yet? N is for Nick.

Alright, time for some discussion on what yr all listening too. My iTunes inventory is getting a little stale so I'm up for some inspiration.
Currently loving The Drones' album "Havilah".. incredible songwriting and some of the best recorded guitars and drum I've heard in a long time. I'm a little late to the party with this album but it's on high rotation at the moment and will probably stay there a while. I've seen these guys live once (Fowlers, Adelaide) and fortunately they're incredible on stage too. Can't wait to see them again.
