Laconic and insightful in equal measures. He's been unreal.
His knowledge of the game might work well elsewhere but his relaxed delivery is perfect for ABC.
Boof is pretty chilled, and clearly knows his stuff. A great addition to the commentary team. The only downside is he is the spit of a neighbour of mine, physically and vocally, and my neighbour is a right pr… ah I mean “legend” - see below for a definition.

As for Bumrah - I reckon the psychological relief that the Aussies would feel is immense. But the other bowlers seem to be making inroads without him.

We’ve banned one of our mates from commenting on a group chat. Things are going well then he’ll post something like “Smith’s gonna get a ton here” then within the over whoever he’s commented on will be gone.

Stuart Clark's ABC commentary was immensely enjoyable during that Pant innings. Magnanimous and genuinely excited.
Clark is great, funny and insightful. Pant went nuts, tv commentary was subdued.
Great day of cricket. Pant almost took it away but the Aussies got him just in time I think. Still got a few wickets and they won’t want that tail to wag. 220 could be a tough chase. 250 almost too much.

Far out anyones game from here. Can't see the Aussies coming out and dominating the batting going by the pitch, but i reckon they'd be slight favourites now Rishabs out. Geez he was good.
Loving the new fella Beau Webster. No frills no fuss, just gets the job done.
I reckon his height is helping negate that extra bounce at the SCG.

Agree, Konstas needs to let his bat do the talking. It’s all got a bit ugly on that front. A tie would be amusing but unsatisfying.

In my defence, they did say his wife walked into the commentary box and it was the very first ball of the innings she saw of his....the wicket.
So i'll happily palm the blame off to her :-D

One of the most memorable series in the last 2 decades.
I found it crippling how engaging it was, certainly provided many excuses not to be too far from the radio or TV!

Agreed @Roystein. Deadly combo and Australian players and it's leaders can hold their heads high in the way they conducted themselves throughout this whole series, led by Cummins.

They think he is too close to the players and not willing to make tough calls re selection. I think he is probably highly intelligent, very analytical and strategic. The dynamic has shifted post Langer and the coach is a guide on the side more than anything else in the national team.
Bumrah's injury and Bailey's calls to bring in Konstas and Webster (/drop McSweeney and Marsh) the decisive factors of the series? (Perhaps followed by Hazlewood's injury opening the door for Boland?)
Anyone seen a better series by a visiting fast bowler? My memory only stretches back as far as later career Ambrose and Walsh, but I can't think of any better than Bumrah.
