This test match is the first cricket I’ve watched in 30 years. Been enjoying it.

Can't see India collapsing with a full head of steam. Only hope is the pitch turns to shit and Lyon gets the ball moving sideways.
I don't think i've ever seen a pace bowler as terrifying as Bumrah in that every single ball looks like it could take a wicket.
As good as all of the past greats have been. Every single ball of his you look to see how many balls are left in the over until there's a reprieve.
There was something written on cricinfo about the two balls that got Head and Marsh.
Bounced in the same spot, but there was a 50cm difference in height where it was when it reached the batsman. There’s great bowling and a lively pitch:

Its crazy how it looks like all his momentum is going one way yet he gets the ball to go the other way @seeds. Must be so confusing to bat against. Especially like they say with his long reach and deep release point.

It might be crazy but i reckon i'd put india in to bat for the last 45mins of today, regardless of the score.
Get them in that tricky period and also leaves a bit of time tomorrow.
Also don't wanna score too big that they try to draw. We need to win this game. But yeah, that could backfire badly.
If we can last an hour after tea they will be chasing 300+. It's certainly possible, look at what the 2 young fellas did yesterday.
I think we are gonnas. Batting slow and not taking risks could’ve got us a 350 run lead. I think India will smash any total we post, they’ll treat it like a 20/20 game, our bowlers are tired, sore and carrying minor injuries.
This amoebic like disease that spreads fast with batsmen dangling their bats and nicking off is a big problem in our team.

Get 300+ as a minimum. Don’t declare. Just go at it swinging and ride their luck past that.
If you get quick runs, good. If you get India in for a few overs at the end of the day, good.
Couldn't agree more AW. Australia have a bad habit of 2nd innings collapses. Like they keep saying, no front foot movement.
@blackers i reckon 280 to 300 will give us a fighting chance and should give us a little spell to bowl at days end. Bowlers will have had some rest and then can rest up overnight again.
Maybe first half hour play conservative and then go hell for leather for next hour. Wickets be damned. ha

Marsh is a real worry. He didn’t take a wicket in the first innings and was going for 4 an over. Hasn’t scored any runs this series since a 47 in Perth.
yeah might be time for Marsh to go. Apparently just had a firstborn in their family so maybe a bit sleep deprived.
I reckon Cummins getting out was a blessing in disguise.

Would be alot easier for India to come out and get settled first thing tomorrow than to put them in tonight and unsettle them. In my opinion.
Especially if Boland gets on a roll.
