That board looks like a case or form over function. Fuction should come before form. When something functions well and has form as well, then it has style.

Yep I agree but feel free to check out their Instagram. There’s plenty of clip of Mateo and Brittany surfing them.
It’s all relative to the waves they surf. A groomed right hand point break day in day night.
If they’re not functioning to show form and style then I’ll give up tomorrow.

The old pic of Komala Indah brings back memories. Thermos tea and bananas for breakfast, out in the middle of open paddocks with cows and kids flying kites. Walking home in the dark after a big night fending off packs of mangy dogs, bemo's and clear water at Kuta Beach.

Yep. If you want a flex-tail time is running out. He'll still be shaping his V2 and ordinary boards but getting the glassing done elsewhere for them. I've got two (non flextails) on the way which I ordered about 3 months ago, so the wait time for a flextail must be 4 or 5 months deep by now I imagine.
I know this pic is well revered, but seeing Zen's above post, just couldn't help myself. TC on one of the great mans boards, in what is still the most timeless cuttie photo of all time (in my opinion). Had that pic on my wall as a grom and studied every acute bit of water coming off the rails and bottom of the board. Epic!

Hey BD, I think you'll like this- not really into the whole sporting memorabilia thing but I prize this-
signed by the shaper and the surfer. Ive had the pleasure to meet both on separate occasions and both are champs out of the water too.
MC tells the best yarns and It's hard not to be like a star-struck grom. Embarrassing to say but I hung on every word. He's funny too.
And Tom is just the coolest of cats- so mellow and easygoing.
Anyway, don't want to sound too gushy- this is one of only half a dozen in the world and it's signed to me. Pretty cool.
Wow Zen thats bloody awesome! I reckon in this instance, gushing perfectly acceptable. Yep, agreed, legends both of them. Still have a great memory imprinted in my brain of MC bottom turning on a pearler in the bowl with the cliffs glowing orange in the morning light behind him, crisp, clear offshore. Magnificent. Thanks heaps for sharing this. Really appreciate seeing this and acknowledging these two fine gents. Anyway....i'll stop now. haha.
