Yep ran into him once in departure lounge at Singapore airport doing visa run. Chewed my ear off for 45 minutes telling me how good he was surfing and the waves he had been getting, even pulled out laptop to show me pics. An extensive storm force low will be developing in the North Atlantic the next days while moving eastwards towards the British Isles.
The storm force winds will rise very high waves that will continue to the Celtic Sea south of Ireland and the western part of the English Channel – with a significant wave height of 7-9m when culminating. This means maximum waves of up to 13-16m!
All vessels should avoid the Celtic Sea, the western part of the English Channel and Bay of Biscay during Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th – also the largest ships!
Take care - seafarers in the Celtic Sea, English Channel and Bay of Biscay – and of course in the Atlantic Ocean west of the British Isles!
